Distance
A participant is asked to sit in the chair provided, while another individual touches them using the pole and interchangeable hand bits as an extension of self. This work functions as an exploration of distance, and how it can alter our understanding of intimacy and consent. As distance facilitates disinhibition, be it benign or toxic, the breadth of touch one is willing to enact or receive is altered by the amount of space between individuals.
